Milana Aleksandrovna Vayntrub - American actress, comedian and activist Her birthplace was in the Soviet Union to Jewish parents and began her career as an actress as a child shortly after moving to the United States. Her fame was boosted by her roles in AT&T commercials on television as salesperson Lily Adams from 2013 to 2016 and , since then, until 2020. She was also a regular series regular on Yahoo! Screen science fiction show Other Space (2015) and was a regular in the NBC drama This Is Us (2016-2017). After being cast in the TV pilot that was never aired for New Warriors, Vayntrub also voices Squirrel Girl on Marvel Rising. Vayntrub was Jewish born in Tashkent, Uzbek Soviet Socialist Republic. At the age of 2, she immigrated with her parents to U.S. to escape antisemitism. She settled in West Hollywood. Her family's financial difficulties led to her acting in Mattel Barbie commercials from the age of 5. Vayntrub attended Beverly Hills High School briefly however she was kicked out of the school in her sophomore year. She then obtained a GED and graduated with an Associate of Arts degree in Communication from the University of California, San Diego. She learned improv comedy from the Upright Citizens Brigade
